Ezra'a Authority and time, times and a half

Ezra's Authority - Ezra's Decree

According to Daniel 9:25-26, the decree referred to is the one issued by King Artaxerxes in 458 BCE and executed in the hands of Ezra the Scribe (Ezra 7:11-26).

Ezra left Jerusalem in spring and arrived in Jerusalem in Summer of that same year (Ezra 7:8-9). Judging from the language in Ezra 8:35-36, in comparison with Numbers 29:7-11, Ezra read the decree to the Israelites on the Day of Atonement early fall of 458 BCE. Ezra and Nehemiah were both involved in the physical rebuilding mentioned in both Books. This, when compared to the best recorded dates of Nehemiah's end as governor over the region of 409 BCE, yields 49 years which compares to the 7 weeks spoken of separately from the 62 weeks in these verses. The "troublous times" of this reconsturction being from 458 to 409 BCE.

times, times and a half

7 weeks and 62 weeks equals 483 years or 69 weeks (69x7) of years. 483 years from 458 BCE brings us to 26 CE for the beginnig of the 70th week, the confirming of the Covenant for 3 and 1/2 years. Christ being cut off in his crucifixtion in 30 CE,... left 3 and 1/2 years to be fulfilled in his return at the end of 1954 years,... not counted according to Revelation 11:1-2,... and at the end of 7 Times or 2520 years (7x360) of Leviticus 26:18-46 which started in the Year 537 BCE and ended in the spring of 1984.  Spring of 1984 began the "time, times and the dividing of time" (Daniel 7:25),"time, times and a half" (Daniel 12:7), "time, and times, and half a time" (Revelation 12:14) also mentioned as 42 months in (Revelation 11:2 and 13:5). This is not to be confused with the "midst of the week" of Daniel 9:27 back to when Christ started his ministry of 3 and 1/2 years from fall 26 CE through spring of 30 CE. This time is the same as the "a thousand two hundred and threescore days" (Revelation 11:3), the "three days and an half" (Revelation 11:11) where this is speaking of a day for a year as in Numbers 14:34 and Daniel 9..
